Death

The news of the untimely death of KEITH GREEN, a former ringer at Stoke-next-Guildford, on Wednesday 2nd July, came as a great shock to his many friends in and around Guildford. He had been on a diving holiday in the Highlands (one of his favourite pastimes) and after the dive, signalled that he was in difficulties. Despite every effort at resuscitation by his fellow divers, he died by the time he was airlifted by helicopter to hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ann, Richard and Helen at this time of great loss.
A memorial service celebrating his larger-than-57-years-old-life will be held at St Lawrence, Alton, on Monday 28th July at 11am. There will be ringing before the service and I would be grateful to hear from you if you are planning to attend.
