The Ringing World is running a competition for young artists, aged 16
or under, to make pieces of art that show what they like about
ringing. Examples might be visiting new places, the sound of bells,
learning new skills, or meeting friends and family at towers.

Entrants can use any medium they wish to make their artwork; but
ideally should end up with a digital representation. Some examples
are drawings, paintings, digital images, collages or sculpture, any
of which have been inspired by bells in some way. So get your
thinking caps on and start being creative over the New Year!

Please e-mail a digital photograph of the artwork, or the digital
artwork itself, to us at art at ringingworld.co.uk as an attachment. The
attachment should be a JPEG with a minimum size of 2 Megapixels (i.e.
1,600 x 1,200 pixels or over). Please also include the title of the
artwork, the artist's name and age. If you would like help with your
submission then e-mail me as above or phone 07590 456075.

Entries will be shown at the 'Inspired by Bells' exhibition, ROA
Gallery, Pall Mall from Monday, 21st March to Saturday, 26th March
inclusive. Prizes will be awarded at the gallery on Centenary Day,
Saturday 26th March.

The closing date for entries is Saturday, 12th March 2011.

Helen Udal,
Curator 'Inspired by Bells'
