The art exhibition 'Inspired by Bells' is being drawn together to
celebrate the centenary of the publication of the first Ringing World
in 1911. On display will be pieces of art that use bells and ringing
as their inspiration. Both artwork that has had some coverage in the
pages of the journal and other pieces not seen before will be
presented. Included in the exhibition so far are woodblock prints by
the artist Weimin He, sculpture by installation artist Laura Wilson,
prints by Jane Stobart, the past artist in residence at the
Whitechapel Bell Foundry, and cartoons by Aitch.

The ROA Gallery is near Trafalgar Square in the Royal Opera Arcade,
Pall Mall. It will be open from Monday 21st to Friday 25th March 2011
from 11am to 6.30pm and on Saturday 26th March from 10am to 6pm.

The exhibition will be composed of artworks in a variety of media
including drawings, paintings, prints, cartoons, installation and
art-films. If you would like us to include a piece in the exhibition
then please e-Mail your proposal to: art at ringingworld.co.uk.
