<b>Centenary Day City Walks where and when<br><br>

</b>Previous mention has been made of a series of walks in the City of

London and this short article gives a bit more detail for those

interested. Walks will commence at timed intervals from 10am onwards,

starting at the church of St Magnus the Martyr, Lower Thames Street.

Nearest stations: Monument or London Bridge. Don’t miss the beautiful

model of Old London Bridge which is in the church. The time of your walk

will be indicated for those with pre-booked tickets. Those who decide at

the last minute should present themselves at St Magnus by 11.15am, the

fee is Ł8 per person payable on the day. The walks will last about 90

minutes, and each will take the same route through the City to end at

Liverpool Street underground station. On the way your professional City

of London Guide will point out historical features, such as where the

Great Fire of London started, and visit some delightful alleys and lanes

as well as the glorious garden of St Dunstan in the East. The church of

St Andrew Undershaft where Fabian Stedman was buried will be followed by

a visit to the wonderful pre-Fire church of St Katharine Cree. Winding

through the alleyways, you will pass some of the great institutions of

the City such as Lloyds of London, the London Metal Exchange and the

Baltic Exchange, which adjoins the Gherkin. The walk also takes in some

of the great halls of the Livery Companies and the Church of All Hallows,
