Children In Need peal appeal

BBC Radio 4’s Bells on Sunday (05:43 repeated 00:45) is offering the chance to have the sound of your local bell-tower professionally recorded by the BBC, as part of a series of BBC Radio 4 auctions for Children In Need 2013.

The tower with the winning auction bid, which runs between Saturday 9th and Sunday 17th November on BBC Radio 4, will be visited by a BBC sound engineer to record the bells, resulting in a take home CD for the personal use of the ringing team and the auction winner. There will also be the potential for the recording to be featured on a future edition of Bells on Sunday.

So this is to alert readers of The Ringing World about this great opportunity for bell towers around the UK, as well as the chance to support BBC Children in Need, raising money to help improve the lives of children across the UK. For more information, visit www.bbc.co.uk/radio4 – before 9pm on 17th November.
