Ringing Roadshow

6th September 2014

Newbury Racecourse

“Everything for the ringer you are and the ringer you want to be”

Progress on the organisation of the Roadshow was reported at the meeting of the Central Council’s Administrative Committee on Saturday, 15th March. The Roadshow organiser was able to report that arrangements were largely on schedule, that the Racecourse staff were being extremely helpful about arrangements, and all available exhibition spaces were likely to be taken up.

It was noted that facilities at Newbury Racecourse are quite different from those experienced at Stoneleigh in 2008. Everything about Newbury is a bit smaller, including the amount of exhibition space, the seminar rooms and the catering facilities, but the pluses of using the Racecourse are many, including the attractiveness of the buildings, the public transport links, and the extras available, such as free wi-fi. All in all this has meant that ticket and stand prices have been able to be held at very reasonable levels.

The Roadshow now has its own website which will be updated as attractions and exhibitors are confirmed, and through which advanced tickets will be sold. Tickets will be £10 in advance and £12 on the day (free for those aged 6 and under).

Tower notice board posters are available to download from the website, and we would encourage all society websites to link to the Roadshow site to help us achieve maximum publicity.

The Roadshow website can be found at www.ringingroadshow.co.uk.
