“Everything for the ringer you are and the ringer you want to be”

Re-introducing Newbury Racecourse

While we hope that many of you who attended the Ringing Roadshow at Newbury in 2005 will make a return visit this year, we also have high hopes that those who weren’t at Newbury, or even Stoneleigh in 2008, will be coming to experience the great day out that is a Ringing Roadshow.

So I want to introduce you to Newbury Racecourse, the only venue to which the Roadshow has made a return visit.

Newbury Racecourse is one of the most prestigious racing venues in the country; Edward VII’s and Winston Churchill’s horses won here and the 13-year-old Lester Piggott rode his first winner in 1949. It is easily accessible from the M25, M3, M4, mainline railway stations and there is ample free parking.

We will be using two of the main buildings. In the Grandstand there will be exhibition stands on three floors. The ground floor of the Grandstand has over 1,000m2 of floor space, and will be where you will find the main trade exhibitors. The first floor has glass walls on three sides, with panoramic views of the racecourse and the second floor also has great views and access to the balcony from which we will be launching parachuting teddies during the afternoon.

In the Berkshire stand next door you will find the seminar rooms and the main catering outlets. Mini-rings will be found in the flat open spaces between and around the Stands.

The photographs are of the 2005 Ringing Roadshow to whet your appetite.
