Robert Basil Woodd-Walker learnt to ring in Rugby as a teenager. He joined St Peter’s, Colchester in 2000 and was a valued service and Thursday evening ringer. During his time he completed 52 quarter peals there although often was reluctant to agree to stand in, being nervous of his ability which always turned out to be sound.

Robert sadly passed away on Thursday, 15th December after being diagnosed with cancer in September. Four quarters have been rung in his memory. One at St Leonard’s, one at All Saints’ and two at St Peter’s.
