The Ringing World is a charity that holds the bellringing community together. We write the history of ringing as it happens. We publish a weekly journal and other resources and publications for ringers. We run BellBoard, the most popular ringing website in the world. And we ensure the future with the Ringing World National Youth Contest.
We are held together by a small part-time staff team and indispensable committed volunteers. We face the increasing costs of publishing, the decline of volunteering and a shrinking subscriber base, at a time when ringing needs a strong, shared voice more than ever.
There are a number of ways you can support our work and energise The Ringing World for another hundred years.
Our Christmas cards and gifts are on sale now, including 2027 calendars and diaries, and other new products.
Keep the unbroken heritage of weekly history secure. Subscribe to the only weekly publication for ringers for just a few pounds a week and don’t miss out.
It costs money to inform and equip the world of ringing as we do. Please support our staff team and the infrastructure of The Ringing World with a donation.
Help secure The Ringing World and the world of ringing. As subscriptions dwindle we are ever more grateful for legacies to help us transform for the future.
Write for us, work with us or help spread the word. Get in touch if you’d like to talk to us further about supporting us with your time and skills.
One of our many generous supporters is J Alan Ainsworth of York, a prolific peal ringer for seventy years between 1950–2020, and Master of the St Paul’s Cathedral Guild of Ringers for many years. Thanks to Alan, The Ringing World were able to upgrade our online presence by developing a new website in 2026. We are very grateful for his ongoing support as a subscriber and major donor.
